The site is intended to promote student progress. It has been developed by a Science teacher to support students, teachers and parents collecting the minimum information required to function. No charges have been made for use of the site, nor is there any intention of selling any of the data collected by the site. Whilst this is a 'one man band' operation every effort it being made to protect any personal data held by the web site using professional web hosting and encryption that meets industry standards.

MyOnlineScienceTutor is being developed by Mr Stacey who was the Head of Science at a UK 11-18 state school until he was afflicted by to Long COVID. Prior to starting teaching Mr Stacey spent 5+ year working with technology in the defence industry, then 15+ years working developing technology in the finance industry with J.P.Morgan. He is using his technology & teaching experience to develop tools to support student progress within Science. As a 'one man band' Mr Stacey is responsible for all aspects of MyOnlineScienceTutor.

Students and teachers can be registered directly with MyOnlineScienceTutor by their school. In this case MyOnlineScienceTutor is processing your personal data based on Public Interests based on your school (data controllers) instructions. You may object to this processing by contacting your school directly. Your school will then work with MyOnlineScienceTutor to block any future data coming through. MyOnlineScienceTutor will then remove/anonymise your personal data from within the system.
Students and teachers can sign-up directly through the MyOnlineScienceTutor.com web site. In this case MyOnlineScienceTutor is processing personal data through Explicit Consent. You may opt out of this process at any time by contacting us on support@myonlinesciencetutor.com. Once you have opted out your personal data will be removed / anonymised.
MyOnlineScienceTutor has no intention of passing your personal data on to third parties. However there are circumstances (for example where we have to investigate a complaint) where we will need to share information with the organisations concerned and other relevant bodies.
